CH2MHill for Sound Transit
White Shield is currently supporting CH2MHill with the completion of the Sound Transit East Link Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS). The study area comprises multiple alternative routes for the proposed Link Light Rail system between Seattle and Redmond Washington. Work to date has included updating the hazardous materials/contaminated sites database for the study area, and review of reports regarding selected contaminated sites along or near the preferred alternative(s). Future work on the project will include assessing the potential impacts of hazardous materials sites identified in the updated project database, revising the FEIS document to reflect updated information regarding any problems potentially posed by hazardous materials/contaminated sites; and addressing comments regarding hazardous materials and contaminated sites issues received from the public and various agencies following earlier publication of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS).
